What Makes Us Cardinal?
Taking out the trash shouldn’t be complicated; renting dumpsters shouldn’t be complicated either. Cardinal Containers makes your rental experience straightforward. Give us a call for pricing, questions, or an answer to any of the odd questions that come along with disposal jobs. We’ve heard it all but we still want to hear from you!
Why Rent a Dumpster?
A lot of projects start with disposal. Trying to flip an investment property? Gotta clean it up first. Need a new driveway? You’ll have to demo the old one before you can even dream of the new one. Dumpsters solve a lot of problems, so don’t let ordering a dumpster be a problem. If you think your project is too small—give us a call. If you think your project is too big—definitely give us a call! From garage cleanouts, home remodels, property cleanups or commercial job sites, we do it all, one Cardinal container at a time.
Need Help Deciding?
15 Yard
Whether it’s a small cleanout of a garage or shed, the 15-yard container is a great starting point for residential projects. A low rim helps when tossing material over the side. It’s smaller size also reduces its footprint on your driveway or tight jobsite.
20 yard
If you’re working on an interior demolition job or home remodel, the 20-yard container is a great fit. It balances capacity with size. Remodeling a tile floor or a bathroom is no problem for a 20-yard.
30 Yard
You’ve probably seen it before—the 30 YD container is well-suited for a variety of projects, including commercial cleanouts, demolition jobs, large property cleanups and home additions. If in doubt, the 30-yard should be your go-to.
40 yard
For big demolition jobs where capacity is essential, no size outshines the 40-yard container. It might be too bulky for some residential jobs, but it is well suited for massive tear outs or for disposal of large amounts of light material like insulation. Stock is limited, so give us a call to check for availability.
Not Just for Business
Dumpsters aren’t just for jobsites. If you’re a homeowner, then you’ve probably got a project waiting in the wings, it’s just a matter of when to start! From garage cleanouts to yard cleanups, our dumpsters can help you get that next project off the ground.
You’ll always find something else to throw away when cleaning up a home or property. A Cardinal container can handle a variety of material—trash, construction, and yard debris—but there are a few common misfits to be aware of. Appliances, chemicals, tires and mattresses are all not disposable at the landfill, but if you give us a call we can always offer recommendations on how to get rid of these troublemakers.
But Also for Business
There’s nothing worse than a job being held up because of flaky dumpster service. Let Cardinal Containers take the pressure off of keeping a clean and orderly jobsite. Our experienced drivers know their way around a busy construction site and our 100% steel containers will accommodate most materials with no issue. Do you want a company who picks up the phone every time you call? Then keep it Cardinal. From whole building demolitions and large-scale renovations to smaller commercial remodels and additions, we’ll be there for you and your job.
The Cardinal Sins of Dumpsters
A Cardinal container can handle a lot—but there are still some troublemakers to beware of: appliances like washers, dryers or refrigerators are some of the most notable, but are not the only no-go’s. Mattresses are also prohibited (no landfill wants to separate the fabric from the springs!), rubber tires, large electronics like TVs, and air conditioner units as well. If you have paint cans or any other chemical, a dumpster is not a proper disposal method for them either.

A Couple Common Questions
It’s rare, but it can happen. While very infrequent, a large metal container being rolled off onto a concrete driveway can be an issue. If you’re concerned about damage, considering placing wooden plywood planks where the dumpster will rest to fortify the driveway against any potential damage.
Actually, you don’t! As long as you’re comfortable trusting our driver and the delivery instructions you’ve given us, we can deliver even when you’re not onsite. If you want to drop a cone or stake to show exact placement, that’s always helpful, but not required.
Yes. While we can work with you on the rental duration for the container, we always need a call to confirm the dumpster is ready and able to be picked up. Remember, don’t fill the dumpster higher than the fill line or rim. This way we can pull a tarp across it and prevent any debris from flying out during pickup or transfer to the landfill.
Cardinal Containers is a full-service dumpster company. If your container fills up quicker than you think or you have a long-term or demolition job, we can always swap out your dumpster and replace it with a clean container. Most of our dumpsters come with a fill line near the top to show where to stop loading. If you can see you’re getting close to filling a container and know you need another one, give us a call! We will get you on schedule and another container out as soon as we can, but any lead time you can give us is appreciated.
Our dumpsters are made from fabricated steel and weigh in at 2 to 3 tons even empty. Finding good, safe placement for them is essential. A helpful way to mark a location is with a cone or stake to show exactly where you’d like us to drop the container. Our dumpsters are roll-offs, so they need both height clearance as well as width. The safest bets for placement are on gravel, asphalt, concrete, or packed dirt. If you have concerns about cracking or damaging a driveway, consider placing plywood planks where the dumpster will be set up.
Everything starts with a call. We keep our process simple, just like our pricing. Tell us a little about your job, what material you’re disposing of, and share any concerns you have about placement or delivery and we’ll walk you through the process. Once scheduled, we bring out the container to the site. Once you’ve filled the dumpster, it just takes a final call to let us know it’s ready for pickup.
When Should a Portable Be Cleaned?
If you have a large event and need help deciding on how many portables are required to accommodate your workers and guests, or how frequently they need to be cleaned, we are here to help you form a plan. For our monthly rentals the guesswork is taken out of the equation—we always service our units at least once a week, ensuring you have sanitary restrooms at all times. If you need additional cleanings, we can definitely advise and schedule more, which does come with an additional cost. It’s very rare to ever need more than three cleanings in a week, usually it is more beneficial to place additional units at a site instead.
Cardinal Clean
Comfort needs no compromise on a jobsite or at an event! Our portable toilets are clean and ready to drop at your next project—or next party, gathering or wedding. Our standard and ADA-compliant units will keep both your workers and guests happy. Nothing can spoil an efficient jobsite or great event like poor restrooms. We keep our units maintained to the highest quality and service them a minimum of once a week. Don’t forget the final touch for your event or your jobsite. Give us a call today!
